such a contrast between the VAWA and the Idaho abortion bill. remind me never to move to Idaho. Boise used to seem appealing but now... uh no thank you.

The hard question would be finding out whether people who already believe in the American Dream are more likely to watch rags-to-riches tv shows. (comment recovered from my email)

It seems likely that that's also the case. People tend to like things that agree with their prejudices.

Heat pumps work in Canada, but district heating has limited application (outside of university campuses and downtown urban areas) due to excavation costs. Densely populated UK cities might benefit.

Interestingly, most new condominiumns in Toronto have individual air-source heatpumps for each unit.
