3. Lots of people can't safely take Ibuprofen, but not all are aware of it. Anyone on steroids (e.g. Prednisolone) or immunosuppression drugs, e.g. for autoimmune disease like arthritis (very widespread) or vasculitis, can be in danger if they take Ibuprofen or even Aspirin. I've had to avoid Ibuprofen and Aspirin for nearly 30 years for this reason. My next step up from Paracetamol is Co-Codamol, but it's not ideal! So for my recent hospital exams, which were expected to be very painful, I took Co-Codamol in advance rather than Paracetamol. Luckily it helped.

And yeah, I wasn't aware of any of the possible negative consequences of ibuprofen, other than "Too much can give you a dodgy tummy". I'm glad I now am!
