Date: 2026-05-01 06:25 pm (UTC)I sometimes feel like one of the Seven Sleepers. I know GenAI is "just" probability, but the stuff about lexical tics transferring from one personality to another -- it does make me feel like an antique. I had a tamagotchi once and it was cool.
After reading the article, I'm still hazy on how the reward system works that gives positive feedback to certain GenAI behaviours e.g.animal metaphors. Whether it's driven by human testing or it's an algorithm with a check list.
8. Rather jealous. If there's one thing cooler than tamagotchi, it's big paganic bonfires. Not much 1st May stuff seems to happen around my neck of the woods. I'm in a folklore desert.
