Netanyahu has tried to shift the blame for the holocaust from the nazis onto the palestinians.

Yeah. I'd just been about to write an angry "don't accuse Jewish people of anti-semitism tweet" and then I saw the prime minister of Israel denying the holocaust and decided not to get into that argument :(

Although I note, the links I saw were people commenting, now, about something he said in 2015. From what I hear from people who know anything about Israeli politics, he really is that awful (I mean, unsurprisingly, given how awful Israel's government is in several ways).

But I'm worried people are dragging out examples of just HOW bad it was because they don't want to have to paint their (extremely necessary and accurate) condemnations of Israeli policy with a sufficiently narrow brush to avoid fanning antisemitism elsewhere. And I don't really know how to tell.

Israeli politics really is a mess, although no more or less so than my own country. Frankly, I'm mildly surprised that Likud isn't a member of the International Democrat Union. They seem to conduct themselves along similar lines to the political parties whose reputations and antics I know much better. Canadian and UK Conservatives, US Republicans, Australian Liberals...but maybe we draw the line at Fidesz?

Agh! I hadn't been paying enough attention. I always crossposted twitter/facebook, I hadn't even noticed it stopped working till I saw this.

I guess this is supposedly an anti-bot measure, although I assume it's actually driven by a desire to try and become more walled-garden-y.

I hope someone figures out a way round it (even just, having a browser plugin which posts as if a person, despite the crappiness of that); I know a lot of people only see my life on fb, but I don't want to go fb-only. I'd be quite happy to post from some custom interface (happier, even, if it had useful options like x-posting locked updates to two places).

I don't know if facebook has a way of automatically posting from a feed elsewhere -- I remember every time I try to configure something like this, some services have "post to this other service", some services have "repost this feed here", some both, some neither, and I end up with a long rube-goldberg chain to get anything to work. That'd be more in line with facebook's walled garden model, but presumably if it existed someone would have mentioned it.

This doesn't seem to effect me, but I've always used a button I have that just brings the link over, I then have to write some introductory text and then post myself. So I think what I do (addtoany) is a different beast that still works.

Help! Help! Help! You mean I can't spam my Facebook feed no more? Oh, wait, I cut that off a bit ago.

I think Owen Jones is right as far as he goes, but he's mainly saying that it's possible for both unfair smears against Corbyn and actual anti-semitism within the Labour party to exist. I am not sure he has much insight beyond that.

For me the most sensible commentary I've seen is from Jonathan Freedland, who isn't always perfect, but I think he's right in this case: the core problem in Labour-Jewish relations is that Labour isn't listening to the Jewish community:
This is not really about clauses and paragraphs. If there had been goodwill and trust, Labour could have sat down with the Jewish community [...] Instead it drew up its code of conduct itself, without consulting the organised Jewish community at all.

As I've said here and on my own blog, being a trans woman of Jewish and Romani descent means I can no longer trust the party of which I was once a member( from the age of sixteen, until Iraq and the Kelly Affair) and as a left socialist of the non Trot persuasion, I am left with nowhere to go.

Depressing doesn't even begin to describe it! :o(

I have myself wondered if PCOS, like constipation, is part of the constellation of autism *symptoms*.

I note that they didn't control for socio-economic status, which might be important - more affluent areas tend to have more autism diagnoses, and I wonder if that correlation also exists for PCOS diagnosis. I could easily see a scenario where women who are more persistent at getting their GP to test and diagnose PCOS are also more persistent at getting a diagnosis for their child.
