Forced inline styling of actual content is a BAD THING. Especially given the abuse spammes can do with it.

You want people to use CSS styling to use bold or italics in journal comments? Doesn't seem terribly user friendly.

People should use EM for stuff they think should be emphasised, and STRONG for stuff they want more obvious. My CSS makes EMs italic and STRONG bold, but I might decide to change that.

Ideally B and I tags shouldn't be used much, they have uses but are ideally deprecated. Regardless, I can make them do something else.

Marquee tags are best styled within a journal CSS with display:none!important; or possibly have something else nastier done to them.

Well, if they're going to silently edit my content without my consent I suppose they might as well do something that increases the wholesomeness of the web, rather than decreases it :)
