1) Feeling ill, as we both seem to have [livejournal.com profile] octopoid_horror's illness, despite only having spoken to him online.

2) Killing Wyverns for their drops:

after Julie boggled at it earlier.

Also, I am amused to discover that pink is not a colour:

It's Padmini's birthday tonight, and people are meeting up to go for a meal, followed by seeing The Muppets at the cinema.

And I am going to spend the evening at home, feeling ill.

I was hoping, until about an hour ago, to drag myself over there. But having just made it to Sainsbury's and back (a 5 minute walk either way), I can safely say that (a) I wouldn't be in much state to enjoy it and (b) I would be making snuffling noises all the way through (and yes, I am dosed up with medicine).

I'm not happy about this, particularly as Ed's going to be up, and I haven't seen him in aaaages.

Not sure what to do with my time instead, as my brain isn't up to anything complex.
andrewducker: (HP Spoilers)
Way back at the dawn of the 1980s Alan Moore wrote three stories set at the origin of the timelords. They aren't great (they were written before his writing was really even good), but they show more imagination than you see in many writers, and lay in place some interesting stuff about Gallifrey, Rassilon and Omega, as well as playing neatly with the idea of a war across time.

Each one is only four pages long, and you can find them here, here and here.

There's also some interesting commentary on them here.
