Our factory is going through a Nadcap AC7121 audit shortly to verify our ability to manufacture cables in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620. We build our cables to the highest standard, Class 3. The required process controls do make our cables more expensive (but definitely not $4000 expensive!). The difference is reliability, not ability to conduct a digital signal.

Oh yes. Certainly for digital signals you'd expect that all cables can manage "Get a signal through that's recognised at the other end and results in the same number of bits coming out as went in."
