#1: Partway through I was wondering where the international students were going--Canada is admitting significantly fewer foreign students, with similar effects on university budgets, and they certainly aren't coming to the United States. I wonder how many places are available in Irish universities.

Australian universities are quite popular with international students. I don't know if they've seen an increase in interest as a result of this though.
