andrewducker: (Portal!)
1) If the TV show/movie I want to watch is available to buy in the UK then I will buy the box set. I will almost certainly also download it as well, because frankly it makes watching it easier. But at least I won't feel guilty when the show gets cancelled that I wasn't doing something.

2) I am going to follow in the footsteps of someone on my friends list who posted their own resolution flocked, and endeavour to post at least one update per day that's not just a link to other content. Even if said content is "Goddamit I can't think of anything to say today." Polls totally count, by the way. If I fall behind then I'm depending on you lot to whine about it until I get caught up. Deal?

Ten days ago*, a crack spy was cut off for something he may or may not have done. He promptly escaped from the Nigerian Warlord he was standing next to at the time to the Miami underground. Today, still followed around a lot by the FBI, he survives as a soldier of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if he can be arsed, maybe you can hire Michael Westen

Very good fun, very silly, and getting by on some nice action sequences a certain amount of grittiness and a whole load of charm. I suspect that the general pattern is going to be much like the A-Team's job of the week, albeit somewhat less silly. I like that they're giving him an arc, so that there's something to follow through. Bruce Campbell is awesome as ever, and I'm hoping that Gabrielle Anwar get's less annoying as she goes along**.

We enjoyed it enough to have ordered the first season DVD***

*Seems close enough by my reckoning.
**And that her Irish accent does something so that Julie doesn't make faces whenever she opens her mouth. Apparently "it's better than some, but not great".
***The first thing to get hit by my resolution.

If you are crossposting from Dreamwidth to Livejournal then you might want people reading on LJ to know that there are comments waiting for them on the DW side.

The best way to do this is to go here, and place something like the following into the "Footer" box:

Original post on Dreamwidth - there are %%comment_image%% comments there.

This will provide a footer like the one at the bottom of this post (if you're reading it on LJ), and means that when someone comments on DW the LJ readers can come over to see what it is.

You can leave the second box blank, unless you're disabling the comments on LJ.
