1) If the TV show/movie I want to watch is available to buy in the UK then I will buy the box set. I will almost certainly also download it as well, because frankly it makes watching it easier. But at least I won't feel guilty when the show gets cancelled that I wasn't doing something.

2) I am going to follow in the footsteps of someone on my friends list who posted their own resolution flocked, and endeavour to post at least one update per day that's not just a link to other content. Even if said content is "Goddamit I can't think of anything to say today." Polls totally count, by the way. If I fall behind then I'm depending on you lot to whine about it until I get caught up. Deal?

But I don't read DW or LJ every day! How will I know?

I'm about to buy "Burn Notice." I was going to buy "Life" at the same time but I discovered it doesn't have subtitles so I'm not going to bother.

Since you already post links daily, rather than posting to say absolutely nothing on a day when you can't think of something to say, how about instead posting links and also your own thoughts about said links rather than just the links and a few tags? That way if we don't get an update on the Life of Andy, you'll have posted a few paragraphs about the links you're hoping people click on.

Making a resolution to post but then actually posting "lol nothing to say today" is just silly. It's like claiming you're doing Nanowrimo but just typing the same word 10,000 times when you can't think of something to say.

how do they actually know who's watching their shows? I mean, given some of the 'cruft' that gets second seasons (or thirds, etc) and some of the 'good' stuff that doesn't, it doesn't seem like popular opinion counts.
