My internet connection seems to have been upgraded by Telewest.  I now have 10MBit.

If you'd told me that 5 years ago, the spontaneous orgasm would have damn near killed me.

Right now?  I can't think of anything to do with it.

Oh well, maybe something will occur to me after a decent night's sleep...

My 2Mb plus.net connection is perfectly servicable for most things but annoyingly slow for torrents and the like.

We're actually trying to work out what we're going to do with broadband when we get it in a couple of weeks. Other than (a) updating my linux box and (b) being able to go online at any time of day without costs, it's really not all that exciting. Like you, several years ago I would have been so thrilled with the idea. But now the only real thing making me upgrade is the per minute charge I get with dial-up.

The freedom of the internet just being there is nice.

And being able to listen to music/watch video without worrying about download speeds is nice.

Other than that, what else do you need?
