It being 10:27pm Eastern Time in the US, I assume that most of you _haven't_ just come back from a midnight screening of Revenge of the Sith.  Over here on British Summer Time, however, I have.

Review to possibly follow, but in general I have to say I rather enjoyed it.  The direction is now fine, even if the action scenes aren't quite as gripping as they could be.  The dialogue is really the only let down, and apart from a couple of moments even that wasn't actively bad.  And it ties it all together nicely, with a few throwaway lines sorting out the major fanboy gripes - almost as if Lucas was thinking "How can I answer their questions without actually telling them anything?"

Anyway, if you've seen the other 5 then you're going to see it, if you aren't already a fan this is the worst possible place to start.

I'm seeing it courtesy of a company outing tomorrow afternoon...you've made me feel like its going to be okay, but without making me expect it not to be a bit shit. Cool.

BTW I'm intending to see Kung Fu Hussle at the weekend, have you seen that? Opinions?

I'm really looking forward to Fantastic Four and War of the Worlds too.

I want to see FF4 because of the crap acting and rubber suits! :)

You should check out Kung Fu Hussle, it looks hilarious.

Without giving away the ending, I think it's a good movie and a suitable prequel to Episode 4.

However, this film definitely suffers from the lack of a Han Solo type character. I was thinking about why I don't seem to be into these new movies as much as the old and I think that it's because the atmosphere is slightly wrong. The chemistry between Han and Chewie, Han Leah and R2 and C3PO is what helps make the old trilogy so entertaining. Light relief as well as big battles and drama. Had ROTS had some more of that I'd have said this was the best film to date.

"It is my love that makes you so beautiful."

"So you're saying your love has blinded you?"

Probably catching this the beginning of next week, in a matinee showing with as many screaming, yelling, talking kids as possible.

It's *the* only way to see it with un-jaded, un-geeked eyes. =)

So it's better than Episode II? The trailer with the mountain scenery love nest completely put Thomas off seeing II ...

I agree. It's not that bad. Indeed, I would say that I enjoyed it. Much better than the other two!

Thanks for sorting out my ticket. I had a cool time.

Rob and I caught it again this morning and it still kicks ass. Loved it.
