I should be packed right now. I should be worrying about getting to the 1pm train and heading down to Kent to join 20 other members of my family for Christmas Day.
Instead I just went to the Post Office and sent off a refund application for my tickets.
Lilian's not doing very well at the moment, for reasons I can't go into. She was supposed to be coming down to Kent with me, but really isn't up to it. So it's Christmas in Scotland for us.
First time away from my family in 32 years.
I'll miss them, but this needs to be done.

Big hugs to you both,
Mx
I'm impressed ...

You're doing the right thing, and it's a good thing.
it's hard to be supportive without sounding patronising, so I'm not going to bother ... you're a *good* boyfriend
