That is somewhat worrying. I rebuilt my computer a few months ago, nothing in the way of P2P software has been installed on it for this reason.

I use Shareaza for file swapping. It has no spyware, no adware, no third party crapware at all. It searches both gnutella networks and its own.
The idiots are in college in this article and plan to run our companies and government?

They aren't stupid - they've just realised there's no way they can know if what they're doing online is private or otherwise so they've just stopped worrying about it and use whatever's available if it's of benifit to them, as long as it doesn't waste their time.
