Have you noticed that PDF files take ages to load in Adobe?

Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins\ and  move everything in there to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\optional - except for IA32.api (which Firefox, at least, seems to need).

It now loads for me in about 2 seconds, versus the 20 it used to take.

Cheers to [livejournal.com profile] biscuitware for the info.

This is the coolest thing I've done to my software in some time. Kudos.

I needed to leave EScript.api in plug ins too.

Other than that...wow.

But ... but ... what do all those files do?

Add funky new features to acrobat. Most of them are onely neccessary (or eaven used) for a few overly worked pdf's (as far as i am aware anyway) I found this tip online someware, except it said to leave in EWH32.api(probably equivilant to IA32.api but for V.5) and weblink.api.
