Ow, my brain

I went out last night to London, with my Father, a colleague of his, an old family friend and my brother Mike. We went for a couple of drinks outside the Shakespeare's head next to Carnaby Street (you can tell you're next to Carnaby Street by the huge signs saying "Carnaby Street" reassuring you that you're safe to spend your tourist money and take your tourist pictures). We then went on to a very nice Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, where we had a set meal with far, far too much food in it.

I was being fairly cautious, because I've lost most of my tolerance for alcohol in the last few years, due to not drinking much at all. I therefore stuck to a vodka lemonade and a vodka+Red Bull. I didn't realise that the drinking group (which gets together on an infrequent basis) traditionally buys doubles when ordering spirits. By the time we left the pub I was feeling wobbly and slightly unable to walk. My head hurt somewhat when I awoke this morning. Fortunately, a mere 45 minutes later I feel human again and am even contemplating breakfast.

I'm unlikely to be in London for a few weeks, but I'll definitely get in contact next time I'm going to be up.
