I, on the other hand, have my Tivo plugged into the network ( with trashcanglam's help and then got a web server installed on it.

Well, once I get the next stage installed it means I can burn my TV onto DVD.

I keep on hearing this word "tivo", but being in germany I have yet to find out what it is, all I have is that tivo and voip dont work together.

A Tivo is a digital video recorder. You tell it "I like the West Wing" and it then automatically records it whenever it's on, saving you having to keep track of what's on when.

Because it's digitally recording the TV, you can also pause live TV, rewind up to the buffer size (half an hour) and fast-forward through adverts.
