Heh. I don't use a Mac, but it's still funny.

Almost exactly right except for the stuff about the end of the cycle and how the product that was lauded as cutting-edge two years ago is now tired or unsuccessful and ripe for a makeover. (I adore my flat-screen iMac, currently in the process of being sunsetted -- watch out for them fetching implausibly high prices on eBay for years to come).

And the Product Cycle for Microshaft is somewhat similar except at the start it's "...comes up with a cool sounding name...", followed by "...darke mutterings of featuritis...", "...beta version has even more bugs in it...", "...everyone threatens to go over to Linux until they realise they have no idea what a 'kernel' is...", "...sells shed loads even though it's like last year's product with new whistles and bells and still crashes...", "...some people scream 'But you can download most of that stuff as FreeWare and yes it is Winodows compatible!", and ends with "...new cool name dreamed up as old product ages to all of five months...".
It's like party politics: people vote for the familiar names even though they despise the product.
