When I said that I was dumping people off my friends list, I wasmultiply recommended to move them onto a friends group that I didn't read. I don't really see the point of this, but obviously some of you do. So let me know why!

If you make Friends Only posts then having people on your friends list allows them to read your stuff even if you don't have time to read theirs.

Good answer!

Yes, that's the best reason I can think of. They are people that you want to read *your* Friends Only postings, but people where you don't care about reading theirs!

I don't do that, but I also get flack for not adding people back. I know people who keep 'em on just so they won't get defriended. Weird.

The poll text-boxes are never long enough for my answers.

I read (or at least skim) all the posts on my friends list, but I separate them into multiple filters so that the people who tend to write lots of very lengthy posts are kept separate. That way when I don't have much time, I can temporarily bypass those posts but still come back to them later. It's harder to do that when all the long posts are intermixed with the others on one page. And I have a separate filter for the groups I'm a member of - I only occasionally read them.
