Apologies for the lack of updates in the last few days, but the hotel web access was lacking somewhat and I've been busy dashing in multiple directions.

To briefly sum up, I've been staying in a lovely B&B, went on a drive drown the coast to eat nice food and taste wine (well, watch other people taste wine). I've eaten gorgeous chinese food in Chinatown with a view over the bay. I've watched the first twenty minutes of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" before motion-sickness drove me out. And lastly I nearly missed my plane, making it only due to the spiffiness of [livejournal.com profile] green_amber.

I'm now back Scot-side, living on about 2 hours sleep and with my body-clock somewhat upside-down.

There will now follow a long period of sleep followed by work tomorrow. There may also be coffee. Well, tomorrow, anyway...

Motion sickness, eh? I have a friend who had trouble with Woody Allen's "Manhattan," but fortunately that was comparatively brief: The camera follows a convertible driving on the expressway, including a cloverleaf exit.

I get motion sickness playing video games, to my utmost shame. It is particularly strong when it's from the first person perspective like Goldeneye, or if there is just to much detail and movement going on on the screen. I liken it to a variation on Stendahl syndrome. My distate for video games keeps me from attaining true nerd status. :(

It's a pity, cause I thought it was an amazing movie - and not just cause it made me cry. Maybe you'll be able to hack it on a telly?
