Spent the afternoon at Hugh and Meredith's, where Hugh showed Sophia how his 3d printer works (and how he makes 3d dungeons out of foam). Very cool stuff, and they both enjoyed their souvenirs.

It's always interesting to see the computational elements of photography by smartphone. The chip in your android and or iOS device is doing the heavy lifting here.

Fake bokeh, often called "Portrait Mode" on smartphones, uses software to simulate a shallow depth of field, blurring the background while keeping the subject sharp. This effect is created by AI identifying the subject and applying a digital blur, allowing for adjustable blur intensity on many devices.

The tell for me is the contract of the building skyline vs the round lights. It doesn't quite mesh together, but that's more feels than facts.
