Facebook reminds me that we had norovirus on this day in 2021 and 2023. Jane has spent the last 24 hours with D+V. What are the odds?

Ohhh Scottish dates are different or I would 100% have thought it was that.

(children went back to school in England 3 weeks ago and I've definitely noticed an uptick in people being ill since, including my hockey buddy whose child started a new nursery on Monday and the entire household went down sick on Tuesday)

Oh yes, we all got the plague for a couple of weeks after the kids went back.

When was your september weekend (they are all different and I've lost track entirely of when you get it in the East), could it be someone collecting something and transmitting it via the kids?

15th. That would be a week of gestation on something being picked up by the kids at the Commonwealth Pool, and passed on to Jane without them having symptoms.

Not, I have to say, impossible. Thank you, that's an interesting suggestion.
