It was bath day, and I needed a physical book to read in the bath.

Thoughtfully my friends have written one and it was published a few days ago.

(The Needfire, MK Hardy. I'm two chapters in and rather enjoying it.)
Original is here on Pixelfed.scot.

Don't your glasses steam up? I haven't been able to read in a bath since I needed reading glasses.

Ah. Well that's ALWAYS the case when I have a bath. If the water reached air temperature I'd long since have got out because it's way too cold for me.

Three cheers for reading in the bath! I tried to explain the joys of it to my Welsh teacher and he looked at me as if I'd gone crazy.

If you take cold uncomfortable baths where people have streams of questions you have nobody to blame but yourself.

While I never want to encounter this myself, it sounds like a good basis for a Kafka-influenced dystopian short story. Am waving here to Andrei Tchaikovsky, on the offchance he lurks on Dreamwidth.

*Adrian Tchaikovsky, not Andrei. Facepalm.
