If I recall correctly, one German phrase is something like "taking care of the big business"

It wasn't specifically poop, but in the 1950s a woman caused an amused stir when attending a tea (or some such event) at an Oxford men's college by asking, "Is there anywhere in this monastic establishment where a lady may relieve herself?"
