Life with several kids: Hiding

The weather is now nice enough that the kids are playing outside.
With the neighbour kids.
And then playing in the house with them.
So I'm hiding in my office from a bunch of a bunch of kids.
This makes me very happy.

(In related news I have ordered a bunch of water pistols and a water sprinkler.)

That is amazing and if it wouldn't take up half of my tiny garden...

Allow me to recommend sponges. You can soak them and throw them like water balloons, but they don't leave scraps of rubber everywhere. Sometimes you can find round sponge balls, but it also works to take a big car sponge and cut it down into 4-6 chunks. Old nerf toys like footballs also work once the outer coating has worn off enough to let water in.
