Unimpressed by Bristol airport security

Bristol airport security has a queue 40 minutes long and 2 of its 8 security scanners running.
I can only assume that this is to force people to pay to skip the queue.
In any case I'm unimpressed.

That sounds like somebody decided to spend as little as possible for pointless security theater, forgetting that the alternative isn't to wave people through like they did in the 1990s, but to make everyone queue to take part in said pointless security theater.

Perhaps they didn't pay the engineers to fix a couple of broken machines on a Bank Holiday ?

When we came home has year, it became apparent that Bordeaux Airport were into crowd management, not customer care.
