Date: 2024-12-31 02:30 pm (UTC)Are advertisers going to buy the bots' "views" (not just their "likes") ?
If not, and the bots are just better at promoting their "likes", then Meta will need to know their algorithm very well to know whether the bots are cost effective.
(Yes, A/B testing, but the internet is too well linked and likes change too slowly for
it to be straightforward to disable the bots in the UK on Monday and in Ireland on Tuesday.)
I suspect that the bots will game the algorithm better than Meta can measure how well the bots game it.
