Saw a quote from some piece of journalism; memory fails me as to where, but it was definitely this year.

It went something like, "The divide should not be seen as between left and right, but between Progressive and Regressive."

They were definitely talking about US politics, but it fits wherever you go.

1. Are the bots going to produce content that more people watch ?
Are advertisers going to buy the bots' "views" (not just their "likes") ?

If not, and the bots are just better at promoting their "likes", then Meta will need to know their algorithm very well to know whether the bots are cost effective.
(Yes, A/B testing, but the internet is too well linked and likes change too slowly for
it to be straightforward to disable the bots in the UK on Monday and in Ireland on Tuesday.)

I suspect that the bots will game the algorithm better than Meta can measure how well the bots game it.

I am glad I am not an advertiser trying to keep up with these games.

It's also too much the standard place for businesses that can't or won't maintain their own website to post information. The amount of irrelevant force-feeding has become ridiculous.

For once I was looking for a "like" button there. I'm not missing Twitter AT ALL and I'm sticking to Facebook for Aunts, Uncles and posting my Wordle score. And Patrick and Jen, of course.
