I am not sure that people should be training for surgery if they are bored by surgery videos.

Watching a video is not as exciting as doing the surgery.

"Exciting" seems to be the right word and the wrong word.

Parisiens (and Parisiennes) pronounce their own language oddly since the local dialect is, shall we say, strong!

2) The last one, though absurdly long, is all Greek adapted into Latin, so I don't think French speakers should have any more trouble with it than first encounters by English speakers.

Yeah, the last word feels a bit like cheating to me (not least, very few English speakers would have encountered it before).

I'm amused that they * out the rude words in the captions, but don't bleep them out of the audio...

I know that's something that deaf people really object to - either the rude words aren't for anybody, or they're for everyone! Censoring just the deaf people is a bit patronising.
