3) The 1960s "Addams Family" tv series was highly unusual, if not unique, for a tv show of its time in focusing on a married couple who were obviously in love. My understanding is that the actors deliberately hammed this up.

4) State constitution abortion protections will be worth a lot less when the FDA decertifies abortion drugs and the Justice Dept starts enforcing the Comstock Act.

Yeah, *I* felt terrible, and I live safely thousands of miles away. I can't begin to think how awful it must be for you. You have my sympathy.

US Elections

I was nauseous all day yesterday after finding out Trump had been elected - depressed, sad and angry. The fact that 50%+ of America is sexist, racists that support a rapist felon has me eyeing every individual I pass differently.

I am so sad for my daughter who will have less rights than I did 40 years ago.

Mark my words - our economy will get worse, and things will get much worse for women and minorities. The right-wing crazies are now in charge.

Only bright news was in my local and state elections. Maryland did all it could. Marylanders overwhelmingly voted for women's reproductive rights and voted against a GOP in the Senate.

My household will continue to fight for the rights of women and minorities.

I have all the responses - angry, sad, fearful, resentful. I live in a blue state in an even bluer city so the powers that be will try to ameliorate and limit federal interference in our local laws.

I can survive four years of this; after all, I survived the last time. But I can't measure the likelihood that they will achieve the breakdown of the republic (as stated by Trump "you won't have to vote again"). And that frightens me. I don't have anything another country wants in immigrants - not enough money, not a desirable job, and I'm chronically ill so an expensive import. Nobody wants to marry me so I can get a green card! I'm stuck here. Plus I live with my adult son and he doesn't want to move away from his friends. Oh well.
