I didn't think I'd see the Northern Lights from my street, with street lights on! Only barely visible to the naked eye, but very visible through my phone camera!

We have been out looking for the Aurora and for a dark sky, but didn't think to try a phone camera.

Your post it timestamped "Thursday, 10 October 2024 01:54 pm". Did you take the picture last night or is your dw on a different line zone?

I am curious if your phone's camera showed the colors in its display when holding it up to the sky, or do the colors only show up after taking the photo (due to long-exposure settings)?

I tried holding mine up to the sky last night with no luck. There were reports of some people in the area having seen it. But the aurora had probably passed its peak by the time I went outside to look.
