For the first time since we got it (I think for her birthday in April) Gideon went to sleep early and Sophia and I got half an hour to ourselves to try Ticket To Ride: First Journey. Which she absolutely loved, and beat me at! It's perfectly designed for a six year old, very easy to pick up, and I'm looking forward to giving her another game next time we can distract Gideon for long enough.

I love playing that on my iPad. I couldn't manage the physical version any more, but the iOS version works well, especially on a tablet. And I can have fun playing solo against the various computer AI characters.

I've played the full version a lot, both in person and on PC many years ago.

I'm sure she'll enjoy that when she graduates to it.

The Ticket to Ride franchise has such a good intro games, both for kids and adults. Kudos to tactician Sophia!
