7 is an extreme example of an early design error that gets baked-in so deeply that the entire system revolves around it and the workarounds.

I am contractually forbidden from naming the famous international bank who can only ave one Windows workgroup, ever, and everyone's in it: their permissioning scripts are a thing of baroque beauty and their realtime data vendors (are rumoured to) have dedicated user billing teams on psychedic drugs in an office with padded walls and no sharp objects.

1) I'm not convinced this study demonstrates anything besides the fact "white" people have all kind of biases regarding white vs. PoC's faces, which isn't surprising, and that the people who code AI algorithms have biases too and/or use flawed datasets (here, real = "generic"), which is something we already knew. Or am I missing something?

Looks like the group I did my PhD. with were involved in this paper. I was making photo caricatures, so I can see the progression to using AI.
