Our cordless laser is a Brother (albeit a monchrome, older model) and it's been a really good, reliable piece of kit.

My previous one was too, and when I get around to owning a printer again the next one will be too!

It's amazing what "Just working" does for the reputation of a printer.

Yep yep. I have a Brother printer sitting right next to me (HL-2340DW but looks exactly like the model in that article). Does B&W double sided which is what I need for music printing. Toner cartridge lasts for thousands of sheets. It's great.

I picked it because we had a very small space to pop it into. So it was the best of the Brothers for us. And we did not need colour. At the time it was very difficult to source new. I got mine from Amazon Spain (came from Madrid!). But it's been absolutely brill. Never jams. We only recently changed its toner for the first time. I am not a huge printer user, and print intermittently. Mainly accordion sheet music arrangements of my own! But it always works.

I bought a BROTHER HLL 3210 this summer. I was fed up with printers that didn't work because I only need them very sporadically. My housemate has an ancient industrial OKI, but I needed the scanner. It has no WiFi issues upstairs in my music room, but my laptops sometimes do up there! Sigh.
