Sophia spent the day with a school friend, so Jane and I took Gideon up the coast to Dirleton and investigated the castle.

Looks like a fun castle.

I wasn't sure what 'up the coast' meant from Edinburgh.
Now I see where Dirleton is on a map it makes sense, but is slightly counter intuitive,
as it is "downstream" and mostly "right" of Edinburgh.

Ah yes. There isn't really an "up" the coast from Edinburgh, just along in both directions.
