We have just had the equivalent here. Not done since the 60s! The total for the area isn't allowed to rise, just a redistribution. My house was assessed to be a bit more than I paid for it nearly 3 years ago. The apartment in Berlin could be a shocker though, as it's easily worth 3 X as much as I paid 9 years ago. But on the other hand, so is everything else... So I'm not sure yet.
