Ah, you're anticipating well over a decade to come of Sophia taking on increasingly responsible jobs, especially of caring for her little brother. My parents were especially happy when I got my driving license at 16 because that meant that I could be the one to shuttle my little brothers around to after-school activities.

Oh goodness yes. My job is to raise a helpful/useful person who helps out when they can.

Gideon puts away his own shoes, and helps tidy up toys, and will help out more as he gets older.

The key is to make this feel not like chores, but like added responsibility due to growing up. Children are anxious to spread their wings, but not beyond what they can handle, and this is how they learn.
