I've recently lost a noticeable amount of weight by switching to a low-carb high fat diet. It's very noticeable that I'm hungry for different things and at different times. Apples and carrots look and feel like food, which they didn't when I was eating carbs.

AIUI things like duck fat count as high calorie and don't fit well into calorie-controlled weight loss plans, but they fit very nicely into what I'm doing at the moment 8-)

Whereas I naturally eat pretty much low carb - but last year had great success with a much higher carb lower fat diet in body recomposition (gain or maintain muscle, lose fat). That said, I was doing 3 serious weight workouts a week plus 2 x 40 mins hard cardio. Plus my normal daily walking (7-8000 steps). If my bodyweight in kg is B, then the diet was Protein 3xB , Carbs 3xB, Fat 1xB. Majority of the carbs (110 of 180g) targeted before and after workouts.

About to start the same thing seriously again (I've had injuries and got lazy!)

That's great. It's very interesting how one's hungers change once dietary changes take root.
