re the end of democracy in the US.
What I find so frustrating is that the reporting is there. About the voter suppression, the radicalisation of the Republican party, the longing for an authoritarian, white supremacist cult leader in the form of the previous president, the terrorist behaviour of those who attempted a coup January 6th, the outlandish lies that are fabricated, etc. But there are still no meaningful measures to prevent what is increasingly likely to happen in the next few years. It's frightening.

The problem is that there only needs to be one or two Democrat senators who are against fixing the issues and they can't be fixed. And there are.

I know what you mean. But I think the problem is much broader. There has to be more forceful counter-measures and counter-messaging on many levels. Two articles from yesterday.

Oh yes - the right wing are acting to take control - and the Democrats aren't working to stop them.
