Finally walked all of the shore between Cramond and Musselburgh, the final part to be completed being between Granton and Ocean Terminal. Here's me doing a silly pose by Newhaven.

It's very pretty down there.

Cramond is well worth visiting. ⅔ of the time the tide is low enough to get you the island where there are the remains of gun emplacements and other buildings.

Cramond to Granton was quite pretty. And the walk from Portobello to Musselburgh is nice.

The only bit that isn't nice is the industrial areas between Granton and Newhaven, and even they were kind of interesting. Oh - and the sewage treatment plant in Seafield is understandably a bit stinky.

I am fascinated by the residential development potential of Seafield.

There's definitely a chunk of it that could be developed. I'm not sure that "lots of car sales lots" is the most economically productive use of it.

I've walked East from Cramond a bit but not that far. It is nice. I've also walked east from Portobello and again not as far a Musselburgh.

The 24 terminus is in Granton, right by the old gas works. So you can do a nice walk along the shore and then get the bus home if such things appeal :-)

(And the 41 goes to Cramond, of course, so you're on good bus routes there and back)
