Where does it say you'll be a baron? That sounds unlikely. There are some honorary titles that go with property ownership, but actual titles of nobility like baronies are hereditary regardless of property ownership.

To be fair they're equivocal about it.

I think there is a weird niche bit of Scots conveyancing and property law at play here.

Been 25 years since I did any of that so it's a bit hazy.
