I'm actually pretty happy they're extending the trams to Newhaven, just wish they'd done it the first time, as it'll mean even more disruption to Leith. Hopefully existing infrastructure should make it much quicker though.

Yeah. I've had some success moving from extreme deprecation to something ambiguous, less like "you definitely know more than me" more like "I know a little bit but I don't know if I'll know anything that will help or not". But I still struggle with it. Thinking about the effect on other people is the only thing that shifted me.

Plague is endemic in Colorado/Utah/Arizona/New Mexico. Two years ago, two people in Colorado died from it. As far as I know, just about every human case in the southwestern US has been caused exactly this way: domestic pets (the vast majority have been cats) out roaming around in areas where prairie dogs live, and coming back home sick, and passing it to their owners/vets.
There are areas in Fort Collins, where the vet hospital mentioned is located, that have plastic fence surrounding prairie dog villages with "warning plague danger" signs hung on the fence.

The tumblr article is annoying because it's not that users can't get their jollies anymore there, but it's the fact that the service they're using to flag "porn" is bad at it and flags a lot of innocuous things. I'm still getting followed by bots right and left that are I'm sure stealing instagram photos to get you to click on RussianSexBotsAndMalware.ru but it's a painting of Truth Coming Out of Her Well to Shame Mankind's naked titty that's the problem. UGH.
