And as a baseline, how much time men feel other men have to take up to feel like they're dominating the conversation.
(i.e. if I'm chatting to my co-worker Dave, and he talks 15% of the time, do I feel like he actually had 50%? I assume not, but it'd be good to check.)

Date: 2019-03-04 11:46 am (UTC)You know, I think a lot of the men I know definitely underrate how long/proportionately they themselves talk, which would produce much the same effect as overrating how much other men talk, and produce the accelerating and crescendoing reiteration characteristic of Certain Male Conversations.

(Some of which I wish they didn't, to be fair)
