Date: 2018-04-26 12:38 pm (UTC)(Also, this may be of interest to you: not everyone ever gets to contractions a minute apart. With both of ours, had we listened to the 'only show up at the hospital once contractions are regular and 3 minutes apart' advice, they would have been born at home.

Date: 2018-04-27 08:29 am (UTC)I wasn't surprised to hear that the participants in the no-Facebook condition predicted it would be miserable. I was disappointed, and slightly surprised, to find that their self-reported life satisfaction did go down. When I've taken a social media break I've usually felt happier at the end ... although still decide to go back to it. I recently started to seriously consider just giving up on Fb and make more effort to socialise elsewhere - but then swiftly realised there were both work-related and kids-school-related things I would have to keep asking other people to update me about, which seemed unfair and unreliable.
