Emusic always struck me as the way to go when it came to online music. You pay a monthly fee and download as many MP3s as you like. They constantly add new music and have a fairly wide selection. Of course, this method doesn't make as much money for the record companies, so it only tends to attract small labels and older music that doesn't sell well.

If you love jazz, classical or world music, you may well be interested in subscribing, but until recently they didn't really have enough music for me to be interested.

However, they now seem to have an awful lot of the 4AD label's stuff on there, including lots of Kristin Hersh, Throwing Muses, The Pixies, Clan of Xymox, Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, etc.

A quick sheck shows that all of Apoptymga Berzerk's earlier stuff is also there, as are Wumpscut, Front Line Assembly, Covenant and a load of other stuff.

I'm now tempted to hand over my cash to them. If enough people do, they may actually be successful and attract more music I like.
