I read your museum story and now I'm angry too.

Same! Mainly with myself for not looking properly at the icon on the account, and realising it said 'PUNS'. Doh!

The museum story seems incomplete (or maybe, because it's on Twitter, I couldn't figure out how to get the whole thing to show). The writer presses for an explanation of the cold shoulder, and is finally told that they won't hire someone who's done an exhibit of violins.

And? It stops there? Why not? What's wrong with an exhibit of violins? Various respondents made pun jokes about this; is it intended to be another one?

I'm afraid I thought the pun was wonderful.

Oy. (In seriousness, my sister majored in “history of objects” because of her high school museum work and then could not afford to get the appropriate master’s degree, and has not had a full-time job ever since.)

Not punny, Andrew

It's not April Fool's Day - yet...

That said, the Hebrew/Japanese comparison is funny (not punny!); really it's quite good.

I found all the decrypting more annoying than the original story.

I found the rot13 to be funny as heck. The idea of moving into 'code' so as to preserve the 'sanctity' of the pun was rather clever. The post of rot13'd placeholder Latin phrases made me chuckle

I really felt it was given away before the base encoding got started; I got it as soon as I saw it (at the link, before I got here). There were sort of...clues...like how not-angry the author was and so on. That said, I don't know what the rest of you all did to deserve this, but I definitely had it coming (I tend to troll Andrew a bit under lock on my DW, but if nothing else he's been a good sport about it).
