How far did you track it back before it dawned on you that the point is to see how long people will keep on clicking on a link? (I clicked four times - by the second click, third journal, I'd realised something was wrong: third click I figured out this was probably an endless series, and the fourth click was really just to confirm that.)

Second link had a "hey, this is like one of those pieces of paper that says "see reverse for details" on both sides, isn't it?" which kinda gave it away.

There's a forum version of this, I followed it about 30 links before I hit a registered-users-only forum. Which sucked. I always want to know where these things start.
