andrewduckerI started running a jokes mailing list back in 1998 (ish) in order to keep myself from dropping dead of boredom (well, to be honest, I kept sending jokes to people. It therefore made sense to stick them all on a mailing list and simplify things somewhat).
People came, people went, different kinds of jokes became less and more popular, and yesterday I realised that I wasn't reading anything on my own joke list any more.
So I've told the people on it that I'm shutting it down, unless someone wants to take over from me.
The yahoogroups archive (the list started on onelist, which was taken over by egroups, which was bought out by yahoo) has over 4000 messages on it. A whole lot of history.
In some ways it seems a shame to dump it all, but hey, I'm sure all the funny stuff is out there somewhere. And if it isn't, I'm sure there'll be plenty more funny stuff along.
