Date: 2003-07-02 05:16 am (UTC)I think that if you ask people to name a tool they will say 'hammer' and a colour they will say 'red'. Maybe there's somethign in distracting them for a while or getting them into automatic responses. It;s like the carrot one.
I use spanners WAY more than hammers, maybe that's it with me.

I know its possible to implant images in peoples thoughts using apparently unrelated phrases, thats how a lot of 'mind readers' work. e.g that Guy who had the TV series recently. He did some incredible stuff but is quite open that he's just leading you, rather than trying to pass it off as magic.
