Some interesting points from a poll by Survation.
Over half of respondents (52%) said religion does more harm than good in society with 24% saying it does more good than harm.

Perhaps as a result, only 6% said that atheists are less likely to be moral people than religious people.

61% described themselves as ‘not religious’ and 39% as either ‘very’ or ‘somewhat’ religious.

60% of those who told us they are Christian also described themselves as ‘not religious’ and only 12% described themselves as ‘very religious’.
Interestingly, people under 35 are the most religious. I wonder what the explanation for that is.

(This is probably actually the case, at least in London. Immigrants tend to be younger, and to be from countries that are more religious than the UK. Eg, much of West Africa.)
