Just over six years ago, I was chatting to a friend on Facebook, because they seemed a bit down, and I suggested that we meet up for a drink to talk about things, because that might cheer them up.
And then I said that, as I'd be finishing work around the time we were meeting up, it might make more sense to grab a bite to eat*, so why didn't we meet up for Nepalese food, and _then_ go for a drink.
The food was great, the evening in the pub was fantastic**, and four and a half years later we got married.
Tonight we're off for Mexican food, to celebrate it being six years since we sat across a table and interviewed each other. I can't think of anything I'd rather do.***
*Julie really hates that phrase. I don't know why.
**Even if half of my sodding friends turned up in the pub later on. Never go to a pub you usually frequent when you're on a date.
***Oh, and we have working electrics in the kitchen - including the hob and the oven. I'm treating that as an anniversary gift.
